High school students interested in student exchange to Japan should apply now for the AIIU High School Exchange Programs. Students will attend a high school in Japan whilst living with volunteer Japanese families.  Scholarships, currently valued at approximately $2000 are available to outstanding applicants.

Who can apply?

The Student Exchange Program is for highly motivated students who will become cultural ambassadors for Australia. Applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• have achieved average or above grades
• have studied Japanese for a minimum of 1 year at High School Level
• have completed grade 9,10,11 or 12* in the year previous to their Student Exchange and have turned 15 prior to departure (*Due to Department of Education Regulations in VIC & ACT, students who are currently completing year 12 in these states are not elligible to apply)
  
• *Students in QLD, NSW,TAS, NT, WA currently completing Yr 12 are only  eligible for the March Program.
